Oregon Wildfire Updates

Notice to Oregon Policyholders
Oct. 18 through Nov. 17, 2020

Dear Policyholder:

National Liability and Fire Insurance Company recognizes the numerous wildfire disasters, which have resulted in a state of emergency in Oregon, continue to cause hardship for our policyholders. We want to do what we can to help our customers during this time. In response, we wish to notify you that, in compliance with the updated Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services Wildfire Emergency Order effective from October 18 through November 16, we are providing temporary premium payment relief to our policyholders in the affected wildfire areas as long as the order remains in effect.

Specifically, for the period of October 18 through November 17, for policyholders in the areas affected by the Oregon wildfires as defined by the zip codes noted below, we are temporarily:

  • Extending grace periods for premium payments
  • Postponing cancellations and non-renewals for non-payment of premium
  • Providing relief from reporting and other required communication related to claims submission and processing for insureds
  • Providing consideration for relief from other types of policy provisions, including premium payment flexibility, upon request from the policyholder
